Strategic and beautiful design is my passion.
Being born in Sweden I’ve always loved the clean but powerful design that the Nordic is known for. Beauty goes hand in hand with function.
But I’m also a mum. I do not have time to spend days tweaking things to make them perfect, some days I don’t even have time to work. I need to count on my website and systems to support my lifestyle and family. I am sure you feel the same, right?
I am so excited that I get to help you build systems and structures to support you and your dream life!
A beautiful and strategic website should not only support you, it should also inspire and excite you. A great website can activate your clients and remove you as the bottle neck and be out there working for your on those days when you're busy doing something else, whether that is caring for sick children or lounging at the beach.

By now we should've agreed on a contract and you have probably paid the invoice – be aware that no work will commence until the first invoice is paid and the contract is signed.

You have to have an active subscription with Showit to be able to have a Showit website.
Unless we have discussed advanced features, podcasts, shop, blogging etc, a basic tier is enough. If you're unsure, just reach out to me! You can always upgrade if needed.
SIGN UP FOR SHOWIT
A contributor only has access to the website, not your personal information or payment details.
You've also been personally invited to your Client Portal in Dubsado.
In there you'll find any invoices and forms (for example the Web design brief). You can also access all of our email communication.
There is also something called a TASK BOARD.
When it's time for you to do something the task board will show you a new Task to complete. You will of course also get an email letting you know what you need to do and how to complete it, for example when it's revision time!
Please don't add any tasks to the board unless specifically asked.

Showit has something called "Contributor access".
Click on your name down in the left corner, click "Manage account", scroll down to "Contributor access" and add sara@nordicdesign.studio – that's it!

REVISIONS
I know a lot of questions can come up around these things, no question is stupid! Just message/email me with any questions you have!
1. BRANDING
I need your BRAND COLOURS in HEX format (for eg #40404D), your TYPEFACES and if applicable your LOGO.
If you are using typefaces that you have bought, make sure you have a license for website use and please drop the font files in the Google folder as well. If your logo is black please supply one in white as well. It needs to be in svg format or at least a png with no background.
2. IMAGES
More is more here. If you have some favourites, feel free to create a folder and call it favourites or "must be featured on my site" or whatever you want.
3. COPY
In your folder are some worksheets that you can use however you want to write the copy for your website. You can also add your own documents with the copy. If you need help, I collaborate with multiple copywriters just reach out and I'll get you in touch!
To be able to create an amazing website for YOU and YOUR business I need some things from you.
In your welcome email you should have recieved a link to a Google Drive Folder in your name. Drop all the assets in there, please!

REVISIONS
If you feel that the design is nothing like you expected or hoped, we will hop on another call, I will explain my choices and we'll talk through what changes you wish to see.
Please be aware that a complete revision moves the deadline for the project forward.
When it's time for revision you will see a task on our shared task board and you will get an email with instructions on how to complete the revision.
Please stick to the deadline as to not delay the project. No response on a revision request is assumed that everything is signed off and the design will proceed.
Included in a Bespoke website design is 1 (one) complete revision.
If you've never worked with a designer before revisions can feel a bit scary. What if you don't like it? What if you don't understand it?
Please don't worry.
This is your website and we are doing this together. I will explain the choices I've made and if something doesn't sit well with you, please say so!

ZOOM CALLS: At this point we've probably already spoken! A Custom designed website also includes a Strategy call and you have probably already received the link to book that. There will be one more call at the end before launch to make sure everything is perfect.

I've sent my homework in and set up Showit for you – now what?
Sit back, relax and enjoy the process!
I will be updating you along the way, give you sneak peaks and tell you when it's time for you to do something. When I have started working on your website I don't take on any other big projects to ensure that you have my full focus.
Where do I find a copy of my invoice or contract?
You'll find all documents in your client portal. You should've received a link to it in your Welcome email.
When do I get to see my new site?
I will be designing your new website on my Showit account (trust me, it gets messy during the production phase) and transferring it to you when it's done.
But don't worry, you'll get sneak peaks way before that! For example the first sneak peak is the Homepage revision that will set the tone and style for the entire website.
I don't know how to write my copy!
No worries!
I collaborate with multiple copywriter and some of them offer a bonus or discount when you mention my name, just reach out to me and I'll get you in touch!
This feels scary.
Of course it feels scary!
A website is such an important part of a business and letting someone else handle it and letting go can be hard. Especially if you are a control freak and like to know everything, ask me how I know.
But try to relax and enjoy the process, letting someone who knows the ins and outs of the tech handle it is a good use of your time. Imagine all the things you can focus on instead!
And don't worry, I will teach you everything about your website once I'm done.
Do I have to learn Showit for this?
Well, not really. No matter what, I will send you a video library on how YOUR website works and how to update and change the content. But you can do two things with that:
1. Learn it and handle your own website
2. Ignore it and enjoy a 10% discount on every VIP day where I can do all the updates needed in one day.
